WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

We’re not consultants...we’re advisors. To help a nonprofit become financially successful or a funder connect with a cause, before we can offer any advice....we need to dig in, quickly and deep.

That’s because resource development requires a total organization effort - board, leadership, and more. (See our resource development eco circle). It is about relationship building. And relationship keeping.

While there are thousands of nonprofits, we’ll help funders make sure their dollars are being used effectively and efficiently.

We maintain and expand our connections with businesses, nonprofits, funders and more by serving on some of the area’s most significant boards and committees. This often gives us an insight unlike others and provides that ALL needed parties are at the table.

We continue to worked closely with the wealthy and powerful....though, they still like to be called by their first names. And we’re not afraid to dig into a problem and find the solutions. And while we can help with contacts, we’d just as soon help the nonprofit help themselves, by working to set up a powerful program the nonprofit itself masters.

Our past work has included executing some of the area’s largest events.…helping fight segregation by rejuvenating the Mosaic partnership project….advising on outreach that has resulted in single gifts over a million dollars each....and putting in our own time as volunteer board and committee members.

OUR MENTALITY

Fundraising is a mindset, not the job of one or two people at each organization. It takes time, and there’s no “off-season.”
We must cultivate the next generation of philanthropists; they’re not going to grow on their own.
The best donors—regardless of wealth, wisdom or work—are engaged donors; they truly make an impact over time.
If you’re serious about solving a problem, then get serious about collaborating with other organizations, people and companies—not competing with them.
Relationship keeping is harder than relationship building.
